Spectators at Saturday's non-league contest between the Lone Grove Longhorns (Lone Grove, OK) and the host Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK), saw Lone Grove's softball squad nip Elgin by a score of 5-2.

With the triumph, Lone Grove improves its record to 24-3 on the year. The Longhorns host Ardmore (Ardmore, OK) to face the Tigers in a non-league contest on Monday, September 22. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 0-18. Ardmore lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Del City (Del City, OK)

In their next game, the Owls battle the Cache Bulldogs (Cache, OK) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 20. Elgin will attempt to better on its 19-8 season record.
