The Platte County Pirates softball squad (Platte City, MO), 3-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE)

With the triumph, Gretna East improves its record to 14-9 on the year. The Griffins travel to Douglas County West (Valley, NE) to clash with the Falcon in a non-league bout on Monday, September 22. The Falcon go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Douglas County West lost 5-4 in their recent non-league bout against Freeman (Adams, NE)

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Chrisman Bears (Independence, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 22. Platte County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
