Illinois High School Volleyball - Red Bud tips Alton

The Red Bud Musketeers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Alton Redbirds to 1 in the Musketeers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Musketeers now have a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwestern for a non-league game on Saturday, September 20. Red Bud will confront a Piasa Birds squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 6-5.

The Redbirds (7-15) will now prepare for their game against Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 9-5 record. In their last game, Jersey was edged by Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
