Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) and the visiting Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), observed Aurora Central Catholic's volleyball team top Larkin by a count of 2-0.

The Chargers (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Sentinels go into the non-league battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Westmont achieved victory over Cristo Rey Jesuit (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Royals now own a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Edward for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 20. Larkin will meet a Green Wave team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL). The Green Wave record now stands at 5-8.
