In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Calaveras Red Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 win over the Balboa Buccaneers.

With the win, Calaveras improves its record to 7-4 on the season. The Red Hawks host Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA) to face the Bullfrogs in a Mother Lode League test on Tuesday, September 23. The Bullfrogs go into the test with a record of 6-8. Bret Harte lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Big Valley Christian (Modesto, CA)

The Buccaneers now have a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Orland for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 20. Balboa will meet a Trojans team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Shasta (Redding, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 18-3.
