In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Baton Rouge Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Springfield Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Pearl River beat Pine (Franklinton, LA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a Division IV District 7 test, on Tuesday, September 23. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 6-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA).
