Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) and the host Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), observed Herscher's volleyball team hold off Beecher by a tally of 2-1.

The Tigers (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Rock Falls was tipped by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 2-1, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats encounter the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers (Bradley, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 20. Beecher will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Boilermakers go into the test with a 7-6 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Normal West (Normal, IL).
