The Benton Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host East Jefferson Warriors to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 20. Benton will play a Swamp Owls team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA). The Swamp Owls record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, East Jefferson drops to 6-10 on the campaign. The Warriors host Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to play the Lions in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23. The Lions come into the outing with a record of 7-4. Covenant Christian Academy won 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Brusly (Brusly, LA)
