In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Dearborn Pioneers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Blissfield Royals.

The Pioneers (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Stevenson (Livonia, MI). The Spartans come into the Kensington Lakes - East challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Stevenson edged Franklin (Livonia, MI), 2-1, in a league test.

The Royals now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Onsted for a Lenawee County test on Tuesday, September 23. Blissfield will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Summerfield (Petersburg, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-9.
