North Carolina High School Volleyball - Brevard edged by Hickory

Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Tornadoes (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves enter the non-league challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Cherokee got by Murphy (Murphy, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Brevard will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC).
