In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Burlington Grayhounds volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Monticello Panthers.
The Grayhounds (19-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Springville (Springville, IA). The Orioles enter the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Springville achieved victory over Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beckman for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Monticello will face a Trailblazers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA). The Trailblazers record now stands at 6-2.
