In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Charles City Comets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Don Bosco Dons.
The Comets (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA). The Go-Hawks enter the Northeast Iowa challenge with a 7-7 record.
The Dons now own a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterloo Christian for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25.
