In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Ell-Saline Cardinals volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs.

The Cardinals (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Christian Academy (Wichita, KS). The Lions enter the Heart of America challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Central Christian Academy was defeated by Halstead (Halstead, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thunder Ridge for a Northern Plains test on Tuesday, September 23. Sylvan-Lucas will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ell-Saline (Brookville, KS). The Longhorns record now stands at 3-10.
