The Mt. Zion Braves tipped the visiting Father McGivney Catholic Griffins volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's league bout.

The Braves now possess a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Shelbyville for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Mt. Zion will clash with a Rams team coming off a 2-0 league win over Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Rams record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Father McGivney Catholic drops to 13-7 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL) to confront the Rams in a non-league match on Saturday, September 20.
