In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Fredonia Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fort Scott Tigers.

The Yellowjackets (5-12) will now prepare for their test against Cherryvale (Cherryvale, KS). The Chargers go into the Tri-Valley test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Cherryvale gained a win over West Elk (Howard, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now sport a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lebo for a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. Fort Scott will face a Wolves squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Burlington (Burlington, KS). The Wolves record now stands at 4-8.
