The Lakeside Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Gainesville Red Elephants to 0 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now possess a 29-4 record. They play next when they host Evans for a 5A Area 1 North outing on Thursday, September 25. Lakeside will play a Knights team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Alleluia Community (Augusta, GA). The Knights record now stands at 5-19.

The Red Elephants (19-10) will now prepare for their game against Johns Creek (Johns Creek, GA). The Gladiators go into the 5A Area 7 game with a 13-9 record. In their last game, Johns Creek was dropped by Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA), 3-2, in a non-league game.
