The Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) volleyball held off the visiting Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Admirals now possess a 22-13 record. They play next when they travel to Bay for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Gulfport will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Moss Point (Moss Point, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 8-19.

The Hornets (14-7) will now prepare for their match against Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league match with a 8-19 record. In their last match, Bay tipped Moss Point (Moss Point, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.
