Rock Point Cougars (Rock Point, AZ) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Highland Prep West HORNETS (Avondale, AZ), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Cougars now have a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Red Mesa for a 1A - North outing on Tuesday, September 23. Rock Point will play a Redskins team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pinon (Pinon, AZ). The Redskins record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Highland Prep West drops to 6-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ) to confront the Heroes in a non-league game on Monday, September 22. The Heroes go into the game with a record of 1-9. Heritage Academy lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Madison Highland Prep (Phoenix, AZ)
