In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host West Delaware Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats.
The Hawks (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Independence achieved victory over Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgewood-Colesburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Maquoketa Valley will face a Vikings squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over North Linn (Troy Mills, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-7.
