Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY) and the visiting Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY), observed Woodford County's volleyball team hold off Marion County by a count of 2-1.

The Yellowjackets (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Grant County got by Dayton (Dayton, KY), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now own a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Rogers Clark for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. Marion County will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-3.
