The Mt. Vernon Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Underwood Eagles to 0 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Center Point-Urbana for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23. Mt. Vernon will play a Stormin' Pointers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Van Meter (Van Meter, IA). The Stormin' Pointers record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Underwood drops to 6-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Treynor (Treynor, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 9-2. Treynor won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA)
