In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Russell Red Devils volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Somerset Briar Jumpers.

The Red Devils (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenup County (Greenup, KY). The Musketeers come into the District 63 challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Greenup County lost by Blazer (Ashland, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Briar Jumpers play the Ballard Bruins (Louisville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Somerset will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY).
