The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).

The Wildcats now possess a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Avery County for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Monday, September 26. Draughn will confront a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-5.
