Texas High School Football - The Colony nips Ryan

In Thursday's league match, the visiting The Colony Cougars football squad scored a close 27-20 victory over the Ryan Raiders.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 3 match, on Friday, September 29. The Colony will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Bearcats enter the match with a 5-0 record after their 70-0 league win over Saginaw (Saginaw, TX).

The Raiders (3-1) will now prepare for their match against South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Scorpions enter the 5A-1 Region I District 3 match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, South Hills was nudged by Centennial (Burleson, TX), 56-0, in a league match.
