The Gilroy Mustangs football team (Gilroy, CA), was knocked off 34-12 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA)

The Cougars (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Grove (San Jose, CA). The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Oak Grove knocked off Independence (San Jose, CA), 16-12, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ann Sobrato for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 30. Gilroy will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-6 non-league loss to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
