The Esparto Spartans held off the host San Juan Spartans volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Spartans now have a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vacaville Christian for a test on Tuesday, September 26. Esparto will confront a Falcons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Heritage (Brentwood, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-4.

The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Golden Sierra (Garden Valley, CA). The Grizzlies enter the test with a 0-1 record.
