In Thursday's non-league battle, the host South Lenoir Blue Devils volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the North Lenoir Hawks.
The Blue Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Richlands was edged by Croatan (Newport, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 25. North Lenoir will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record.
