In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Archbishop Alter Knights soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Waynesville Spartans.
The Knights (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Archbishop McNicholas (Cincinnati, OH). The Rockets go into the Greater Catholic Coed battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Archbishop McNicholas nipped St. Henry (Erlanger, KY), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Carlisle (Carlisle, OH). The Indians go into the Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Carlisle was nudged by Eaton (Eaton, OH), 8-0, in a league battle.
