First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Nighthawks confront the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge, on Monday, September 25. First Flight will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Aces enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Currituck County (Barco, NC).
The Cougars now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Swansboro for a Coastal 3A challenge on Monday, September 25. Croatan will confront a Pirates team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Coastal Christian (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 8-3.
