The Los Lunas Tigers smashed the host Gallup Bengals soccer squad by a margin of 8-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Tigers now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valencia for a non-league game on Friday, September 22. Los Lunas will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Socorro (Socorro, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-4.
The Bengals (0-8) will now prepare for their game against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Broncos go into the 4A District 1 game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Kirtland Central was overwhelmed by Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM), 4-0, in a non-league game.
