The St. Johns Redskins held off the host Grand Canyon Phantoms soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league match.

The Redskins now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Blue Ridge for a 2A - East match on Wednesday, September 27. St. Johns will encounter a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-2.
