In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the North Johnston Panthers.
The Yellowjackets (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Wildcats come into the The Big East 2A/3A battle with a 4-2 record.
The Panthers (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Gators come into the Neuse Six 2A battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Spring Creek was nudged by Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
