Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Woodland Park Panthers (Woodland Park, CO), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Thunder now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alamosa for a 3A Tri Peaks challenge on Saturday, September 23. Lamar will face a Mean Moose squad coming off a 19-0 league win over James Irwin (Colorado Springs, CO). The Mean Moose record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Woodland Park falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pueblo Centennial (Pueblo, CO) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 23. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Pueblo Centennial lost 20-3 in their recent league challenge against Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO)
