The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) and the host Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV), saw James Monroe's volleyball squad beat Oak Hill by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, James Monroe upgrades its record to 18-1 on the year. The Mavericks host Narrows (Narrows, VA) to play the Green Waves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 26. The Green Waves go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Narrows lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)

The Red Devils now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to River View for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 26. Oak Hill will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 16-5.
