In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Northland Pines Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Pembine/Goodman Panthers.
The Eagles (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI). The Hatchets come into the Great Northern battle with a 12-16 record. In their last battle, Tomahawk lost by Newman (Wausau, WI), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers clash with the Colby Hornets (Colby, WI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 23. Pembine/Goodman will attempt to advance on its 2-11 season record. The Hornets come into the battle with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, WI).
