In their next game, the Gryphons face the Pembroke Hill Raiders (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 28. University Academy Charter/Kauffman will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 34-20 non-league win over St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO).

The Cardinals (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Savannah (Savannah, MO). The Savages enter the Midland Empire challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Savannah ran past Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO), 53-0, in a league challenge.
