Pennsylvania High School Football - Mahanoy Area tipped by Marian Catholic

Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA), 7-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Marian Catholic advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The travel to Minersville (Minersville, PA) to encounter the Battlin' Miners in a Colonial-Schuylkill - C battle on Friday, September 27. The Battlin' Miners go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Minersville lost 72-52 in their recent league battle against Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA)

The Golden Bears now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Pine Grove for a Colonial-Schuylkill - C outing on Friday, September 27. Mahanoy Area will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 28-21 league win over Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-4.
