New Mexico High School Football - Valley holds off Miyamura

September 21, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87107

The Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) football held off the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), 13-6 in Saturday's league test.

The Vikings now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Highland for a 5A District 1 test on Saturday, September 28. Valley will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 42-13 league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Miyamura drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Belen (Belen, NM) to meet the Eagles in a 5A District 1 test on Friday, September 27. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-2. Belen won 50-0 in their recent league test against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM)
