Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Highland Trojans (Highland, IN) and the host Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN), saw Highland's soccer squad hold off Morgan Township by a count of 3-2.

The Trojans (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Munster (Munster, IN). The Mustangs enter the Northwest Crossroads battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Munster was nudged by South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Morgan Township moves to 3-3 on the year. The Cherokees travel to Oregon-Davis (Hamlet, IN) to encounter the Bobcats in a Independents challenge on Monday, September 23. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Oregon-Davis lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Culver Community (Culver, IN)
