The South Fayette Lions football squad scored 22 points and limited the visiting Belle Vernon Leopards to 18 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baldwin for a non-league test on Saturday, September 28. South Fayette will meet a Highlanders squad coming off a 14-8 non-league win over Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Highlanders record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Belle Vernon drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Leopards host Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league test on Saturday, September 28. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 0-1. Thomas Jefferson lost 26-22 in their recent non-league test against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA)
