In Saturday's non-league game, the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) football team were victorious over the visiting Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM), by a tally of 18-8.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a non-league game, on Saturday, October 5. Grants will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
The Broncos (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM). The Skyhawks enter the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Newcomb fell by Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 40-38, in a non-league game.
