In Saturday's league outing, the host Greenbrier East Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Point Pleasant Big Blacks.
The Spartans (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Red Devils go into the outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Oak Hill got by Nitro (Nitro, WV), 6-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Big Blacks play the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 24. Point Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 9-2 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH).
