The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) and the host Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), observed Beatrice's softball team get by Grand Island by a tally of 2-0.

The Orangemen (16-4) will now prepare for their bout against Skutt Catholic (Omaha, NE). The SkyHawks go into the non-league bout with a 11-4 record. In their last bout, Skutt Catholic tipped Pius X (Lincoln, NE), 8-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Islanders clash with the McCook Bison (McCook, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 21. Grand Island will attempt to advance on its 3-17 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 19-0 non-league win over Wray/Yuma (Wray, CO).
