The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the South Sioux City Cardinals (South Sioux City, NE) and the visiting Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE), observed South Sioux City's softball team get by Ord by a tally of 17-10.

The Cardinals (2-20) will now prepare for their bout against Central City (Central City, NE). The Bison go into the non-league bout with a 9-8 record. In their last bout, Central City was routed by Aurora (Aurora, NE), 5-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Chanticleers clash with the Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 21. Ord will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 11-5 league loss to North Bend Central (North Bend, NE).
