In Saturday's non-league match, the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) volleyball team beat the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), by a tally of 2-0.

The Eagles now have a 20-3 record. They play next when they travel to Allen County-Scottsville for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. Apollo will play a Patriots team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Barren County (Glasgow, KY). The Patriots record now stands at 8-9.

With the loss, South Laurel drops to 4-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Daviess County (Owensboro, KY) to play the Panthers in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 3-10. Daviess County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Breckinridge County (Harned, KY)
