In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Larue County Hawks volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Barren County Trojans.

The Hawks (19-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Green County (Greensburg, KY). The Dragons come into the District 18 challenge with a 7-7 record.

Next, the Trojans meet the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 23. Barren County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Walton-Verona (Walton, KY).
