In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting St. Martin de Porres Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros.

The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Our Lady of the Elms (Akron, OH). The Panthers come into the Lake Effect challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Our Lady of the Elms was beaten by First Baptist Christian (Elyria, OH), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cristeros meet the Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep challenge, on Monday, September 23. Cristo Rey Jesuit will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Holy Trinity (Chicago, IL).
