Kentucky High School Volleyball - Russell County tips Franklin-Simpson

September 21, 2024: Russell Springs, KY 42642

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) and the visiting Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY), observed Russell County's volleyball team hold off Franklin-Simpson by a count of 2-1.

The Lakers (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Larue County (Hodgenville, KY). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Larue County got by Hart County (Munfordville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 21. Franklin-Simpson will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 10-8 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY).
