Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) and the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), observed Glass's volleyball team top Parry McCluer by a count of 2-0.

The Hilltoppers (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Alleghany notched a victory over Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Fighting Blues battle the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 21. Parry McCluer will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA).
