In Saturday's non-league match, the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) volleyball squad overcame the host Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 21. Jefferson will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 11-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Clay County (Clay, WV).

The Grizzlies (8-13) will now prepare for their match against Braxton County (Sutton, WV). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 0-4 record.
